Grace Jones, Orbital and Clean Bandit will perform at Standon Calling later this month. While our local festival is tiny compared the likes of Glastonbury, it’s a perfect way to spend time with friends. So along with the sun cream and the wellies have you sorted your festival braids?
Braids, braids, braids
Braids are that ying-and-yang combination of stylish and practical. If you’re used to plaiting your hair then you can easily style braids without a mirror, in the middle of a field. What’s not to like?

A loose braid at the nape of the neck will keep you cool on a hot day.

Asymmetrical braids look good. Try a fishtail braid that softly drapes over your shoulder.

Why just have one or two when you can have loads of braids?

Forget schoolgirl pigtails, how about this version that follows the contours of the head, with braids falling freely at your shoulders.
Should you get bored of your braids, set your hair free and enjoy your retro-crimped look. It’s spot-on for festival season.
As well as cutting and colouring, we’re a dab hand at braids. So, if you’d like a salon stylist to create your braids call for an appointment on 01763 272131.
